Erik Mietstallung

Erik invites everyone to enjoy the authentic German imports and featuring the work of 100 local artists while inside this historic 150-year-old little red barn that was once a former horse livery and then a wagon repair shop.

About

Erik Mietstallung

Erik Mietstallung stands watch over one of German Village's most storied buildings: a little red barn that has lived several lives. It was a horse livery first. Then a wagon repair shop. Now it's home to The Red Stable where the shelves hold authentic German imports side by side.

Erik is fascinated by the way a single building can hold so many stories at once. He wanders the gallery of local artists' work on display — all 100 of them — pausing longest at the pieces that seem to have something to say. He'll be honest with you: he's partial to the ones with a little red in them. It reminds him of the barn.
