Karl Kustennah came to German Village by way of Barcelona, in spirit at least, and he carries the colors of Antoni Gaudí wherever he goes. He is partial to mosaics. He thinks every surface is an opportunity. He has opinions about tile.
Barcelona Restaurant and Bar suits him well: the intimate warmth of a European restaurant, tapas on the table, paella in the pan, and a room that feels like it could exist anywhere from Seville to Columbus. Karl likes that about it. He believes good food and good design share the same quality — both are best when they look effortless and aren't. He'll happily tell you this at length, with enthusiasm, possibly over a second glass of something Spanish.
